Tetrahedron Park Interpretive Signs

Client: BC Parks and Sunshine Coast Natural History Society

Role: Graphic design, in partnership with Sunshine Coast Natural History Society. Photography by Rand Rudland.

Overview

Tetrahedron Park is located in southwestern BC, on the traditional lands of the shíshálh Nation. The park includes a collection of backcountry trails and cabins for recreational use. A variety of landscapes, including lakes, streams, wetlands, and mountain peaks highlight the park, which is also home to the Sechelt community watershed.

Outcome

In an effort to increase biodiversity awareness on the Sunshine Coast, a series of seven large interpretive signs were designed and installed along the park’s primary trail system. Each sign depicts specific flora and fauna to identify while travelling through the park, providing an opportunity for education and engagement.
