Overview
The Loon Foundation’s philosophy is to ignite connections between people and the natural world, and to foster and encourage responsible stewardship of our natural resources for future generations. Research and education were at the forefront for this series of signs, highlighting Pender Harbour’s Coastal Waters Monitoring Program.
Outcome
A series of 10 large signs were created for the organization’s Monitoring Symposium, showcasing research and observations from local field surveys. Data and observations were collected from 10 local species, including aquatic invasive species, coastal waterbirds, forage fish, intertidal macroinvertebrates and seaweeds, juvenile salmon, larval crabs, loons, pinnipeds, salmon escapement, and seagrass.
