Overview

The Loon Foundation’s aim is to ignite connections between people and the natural world, encouraging responsible stewardship of our natural resources for future generations. As host of the annual Sunshine Coast BioBlitz, there was a need to provide schools with educational resources to support bio-blitzing across a variety of age levels.

Outcome

Classroom bio-blitz engagement was increased by offering resource materials specific to primary, intermediate and secondary students. Branded educational packages were offered for each subsect of students, which included custom flora and fauna illustrations and participation certificates. To promote participation, Sunshine Coast BioBlitz posters were distributed to schools throughout the district.
