Overview

Juan de Fuca Provincial Park had seen great increase in hikers and campers to the park, and BC Parks was looking to expand the existing China Beach campground footprint to accommodate. Over 45 new sites were to be added, focusing on universal design where possible.

Outcome

As renovations to the campground began, a large sign on site visually communicated the location and types of campsites to be added. The sign also included illustrations of a proposed walk-in site with an accessible picnic table, and a new universally designed shower and toilet building.
