Deliverables: A front and back t-shirt design, in two colour variations, celebrating the unique flora and fauna of BC’s Sunshine Coast
Overview
Sunshine Coast Tourism promotes British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast—from Howe Sound to Desolation Sound—as a premier, year-round travel destination for regional, national, and international travellers. Their visitor centres were needing a new t-shirt design for resale that celebrated the essence of the coast while speaking to visitors of all ages.
Outcome
A ‘coastal collage’ approach was taken to the t-shirt designs, featuring a collection of iconic Sunshine Coast flora and fauna. The illustrations are arranged within an organically-styled grid, creating cohesion amongst the varied illustrations while bringing a contemporary feel within current t-shirt design trends. Each individual illustration is brought to life through bold use of colour, celebrating the diverse plants and animals one might encounter along the coast: a bald eagle, cedar bough, orca, sea star, harbour seal, dogwood flower, chanterelle mushroom, oyster, and black bear. Coastal communities, from Gibsons to Lund, surround the graphic.
