ABOUT

Hello! My name is Trina M’Lot, Founder and Graphic Designer of Blue Yonder Creative.

With a passion for design, authenticity, and going beyond the ordinary, I bring stories and ideas to life. I began my career with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Graphic Design degree (with honours) from Vancouver Island University. Having spent years working as a designer in both agency and non-profit settings provided unique experiences on both sides of the spectrum; the tenacity and discipline of working in a fast-paced creative agency, and the importance of relationships and client experience in a non-profit realm. I enjoy connecting with those who are striving to be the best version of themselves and/or their business. I love seeing good people and good ideas succeed and I am excited to be a part of the story.

Blue Yonder Creative is the outcome of my lifelong dream to live and create in a more remote, natural setting. To create impactful design work that is of benefit to our world. To be inspired by beauty each and every day.

Beyond design I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, exploring the ocean by sea kayak or surfski; the mountains by foot and backpack; and retreating to a tent and campfire to take in the wild fresh air. I enjoy blending creativity with the world around me, from forest art installations to snow sculptures to hand-lettered gingerbread cookies. Creativity is simply a way of being.

Blue Yonder Bucket List

Visit the Great Bear Rainforest and work on a project to support awareness and conservation efforts.

Visit the Arctic and use Blue Yonder Creative as a catalyst to support an environmental/social cause in this region.

Collaborate with highly respected environmental/wildlife/adventure photographers on a project.

Support the creation of a prominent community-focused initiative close to home on BC’s Sunshine Coast.
